What is the difference between Embedded Linux and Red Hat Linux?

    Red Hat Linux is an operating system,able to support multitasking and multiprocessing,as normally as Windows o/s. But Embedded o/s meant type of O/s which are desgined for dedicated(specific) task and purpose like o/s(Andoroid) in mobile phone.

  3. Red Hat Linux is a flavor of Linux Operating System like Fedora . The kernel inside these OS is configured according to X86 architecture so it can suitably run on Intel PCs which are base on x86 processors . on the Other hand Embedded Linux is the OS which we Prepare for a specific Hardware . Bootloaders , kernel, root filesystem , GUI all these are configured according to the architecture . Source Code will be same for OS but configuration for Embedded Linux is changed according to the Hardware .
