Sir,
First of all , I have find out the details of yesterday assignments regarding the booting process of x86 its MBR, three level of booting ,how the kernel and initrd ivoked by BIOS, then 1.5 level booting ,then second level of booting done.
Difference in b/w floppy disk partitioning which is non -partitioned VBR in first sector with its machine code and bootstraping and OS( usually but not necessarily ) in and Hard-disk partitioning which is partitioned in partition ,OS is present in first sector of individual partition on the device, with the first sector of entire device being a Master Boot Record containg the partition table . and Volume Boot Record ,BootStraing ,Machine Code.
Reading about screen, gcc Cross compiler , Tool chain which are not too much clear to me .
I have class discussion with Project Manger sir regarding the project Top to Bottom approach , First discuss entire Project then take our part such as device driver , Board ,tool chain as part of entire project, role of everything including Board bring up, device driver .
then i have done little bit practice of C and read about Beagle Board.
