KERNEL_TIMER…….

In my lkm, when i printed the value of “HZ”.

It comes out 1000.

But the actual value defined in the header  #include<asm/param.h>  is 100.

why..?

The value of hertz is architecture dependent. even if it is defined as a constant value in the kernel, it takes the value as per the hardware. (I think….. do let me know if i’m wrong :) ) good criticisms are always welcome

well ishmeet you are right about the half part i.e. Hardware dependent but the file says it is 100, so there is something fishy about it. What say BRO ??
