a. Give explanation in detail about the internal structure of a thread, such as Thread ID, thread function, and thread states.

POSIX thread consists of following components:

1)THREAD_ID:each thread assigns a unique positive identifier which is used as a reference to manage the thread within the process.

2)THREAD_FUNCTION:Thread function contain the routines or instruction for which the thread is intended to perform.

3)THREAD_STATES:THREAD exits in various states during its lifetime

(a)RUNNING:Thread is actively executing its assigned function.

(b)BLOCKED:Thread is paused or waiting for resources such as I/O completion.

(c)RUNNABLE: Thread is ready to run but it waiting for CPU to become available.

(d)TERMINATED:Thread has completed execution and no longer consumes CPU cycle
